What I Learned from Today’s Puzzle
- ECON (47A: Subj. for Emily Oster) Emily Oster is an economist and an ECON professor at Brown University. She is also the founder and CEO of ParentData, a company that aims to empower parents to make data-driven decisions. She is the author of four books: Expecting Better(2013), Cribsheet(2019), The Family Firm(2022), and The Unexpected(2024).
- CRASH INTO ME (13D: Dave Matthews Band hit with the lyric "I see the wave coming") "CRASH INTO ME" is a 1996 single from the Dave Matthews Band's album, CRASH. Although I'm not familiar with this particular song, the lyric gave a nice HINT (See what I did there...?), and I was able to figure out the answer once I had some letters filled in from crossings.

- ERA (36A: Taylor Swift's "Lover," for one) and AGE (64A: "This is the golden ___ of something good and right and real") Would it be an Amie Walker puzzle if there wasn't a Taylor Swift reference or two? That song is from Taylor Swift's RedERA, and was rerecorded for Red (Taylor's Version)in 2021.
